About Me

Cherie Burke is a photographic artist born and raised in the Fort Wayne area. Her love of Jesus and the world's people groups, cultures, and languages was discovered early in life through the encouragement of loving parents who raised her in a Christian home and traveled internationally with her. That introduction to the world inspired her to expand her horizons, including living and working in Japan as a young professional. Traveling the world and collecting inspiring life moments to share is a joy and a passion in her life.  "There is an education that one can only receive in the classroom of the real world. I've learned that places and moments are special because of the people, past and present, with whom you are privileged to share them - people who may look or sound different, but in their essence are the same. I am privileged to learn their stories and to share with them through my photographs." The captured moments of her life's journey in the play of light and dark, movement and stillness, vibrant color and faded beauty are conveyed in her art, drawing the viewer in to experience that moment with her.
